1.
Once when all we sang about was night turning into the day, but those people don't live here. No, those people don't live here anymore. Once when all they wrote about was every gun in the world. Better that we keep a hold. Better than when we start to fold because no pressure will feel nice when we're dead. Talk to me, talk to me. Talk to me, talk to me, world. Sing to me, sing to me. Don't fly right over me.
2.
Does she call a test? Making up for truth and consequence. My dear, you're breaking up; somewhere static's shown. I know ships are sinking, but we'll be singing. I know. Do I hear the rest? Screaming out at fate and circumstance. My dear, we're breaking up. Save us all my love. We will sing.
3.
Back off Betty, you know better than to dance all night. Cool it off, son; cool it down. Please run out of breath. Oh no! Chorus sing: "Oh no!" Beautiful! Beautiful! She wants to be noticed; he wants to pretend there are no worries. Back off Betty, you know better than to go all out. Cool it off, son; cool it down. Please run out of breath. Oh no. She doesn't want the chorus, she just wants to sing. Hey now, coming at you. She's so looking at you now. What do you say? Better take her offer while you can. Because when it all runs dry I assure you she'll be gone. There are no worries.

For Reverie 00:50
5.
Come back; keep it elegant softly now. Come back; won't you keep it in the middle? Say "oh no, I know!" Walking compliments; talking we will miss. Oh no! I know! Oh, you know you do this; know you do so well. Reverie. Oh, you know you do this; I was done as well. Reverie. Get back; keep it elegant louder now. Get back; keep the fire in the middle. Say "oh no, I know!" Walking compliments; talking be dismissed. Oh no! I Know!

Prizerocket 03:52
Back off, you know nights aren't always like this. Bad girl, you've nearly broken us in to. Bad habits and warm jackets and a bottle on your tongue. On Sunday you're alright. Oh, one day you'll get what's coming. On Sunday you're all night. On Sunday... Back off, you know you should not have taken them downstairs. The red and blue lights have broke us in two. You know we love you anyway. On Sunday...

O, Verona 03:47
Solve her through commerce and a bedroom full of hundred dollar bills. This precious waste of time; reconstructed to believe what's on her mind. You're so overrated it hurts. O, Verona! She is on my mind. Taken over; how my heart burns. I've been seeing much too much of you these days, you stay away. Precious everyone; we've got you up in arms. But you know everything and you know better now. She's forgotten.
8.
Violoncelle 02:23
Born, fight, what gives you the right? Baby, we've got all the night; I said here we go. Danced last night; ready to blow up the night again. Ready to go; I said here we go. I said "come up here" and you said "maybe". If I jumped down there would you be fine? Now we're ready to go and we're on time. White light, you're alright. Hold tight, lose your grip; I said here we go. Let's climb way up high; I'm always jealous of the sky; said here we go. I said "come up here" and you said "maybe". If I jumped down there would you be fine? I said "come up here" and you said "maybe". Now we're ready to go and we're on outside.
9.
The Boo Box 04:12
What's fire can't deny your days are nearly through. What's your baby doing here when she hasn't invited you inside? Who wants to believe there's a monster living outside? Who wants to believe there's a monster indoors? You can see infinity if you try. Got serious a thousand miles from Albany. From there I believed it could only get worse. I locked the door like I feared a gunman's infamy. To the sky nearby a woman yelled a curse. She said "you just sit there god damn you! You speak less than a mute you two headed monster!" You should run. Better Run. No good to be inside.

Some some avenue looking at the leaves bend; looking at a watermark and staring at a president. Some some precedent about self betterment; scattered CDs and records lie across the pavement. Someone said something about someone running. I looked around and saw a million people tuning in; a million thoughts to think again. I thought to myself "what a sight." Here's to health, you wealthy ones. What a fight. Oh, yes; what's better than never ever ever thinking about distress and the colors on that dress? Oh, yes; What's better than never ever ever thinking about you? People flow like water; their footsteps sound like waves. While I was in the water I saw an angry sea. If I chose to stay here, revolution it marks the new year. If I chose to stay here I'd hear a million sounds.

Hello, second movement. Hello, lacquered wood. I've been told to keep you here and now I know I should. Hello, princess moment. Are you everything that's good? Somebody paint a picture for me. Oh, I knew you could. Somebody run and make this better. Somebody run and make this good. Somebody run and stress this light expressed; this light's fantastic now. Somebody run; I knew you could. Hello, princess "everything that's good." Hello, pretty picture made of wood. Somebody carve this night out of a window pane and wood. Somebody put it out for good. We got high when the bottle got dry. They got high when the bottle got dry. Yeah, you're coming down. Sing "corporate" now!

about

Recorded between 2005-2006 at 404 Graham St. in Bloomington, IL.

Originally released during the pre-streaming era. (MySpace doesn't count!)

Pressed to CD with many, many typos in the lyrics. Oops. It's almost like it was put together by a bunch of dumb 19 year olds or something.

Visit crown-atlantic.com for additional tracks, demos & early recordings. Unfortunately no lossless copies of those remain, so they can't be posted on Bandcamp.
